ItsTheReal

ItsTheReal, together known as brothers Eric and Jeff Rosenthal, are the podcast creators and hosts behind some of the most celebrated podcasts in the music space over the past decade.

The two began self-releasing their unique weekly sketch videos in 2007 and immediately found viral success with “Deconstructing Biggie” as well as hilarious collaborations with personalities ranging from Cam’ron to Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz.

Thanks to the long-running interview series where they’d invite entertainers like Cardi B and Rick Ross over to their Upper West Side apartment for fascinating deep-dive conversations, called “A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal,” the Rosenthals earned a deep respect in and around the rap industry over the course of 400+ episodes.

They also showed off their comedic side in their side-splittingly funny series with Styles P and Sheek Louch of The LOX, “2 Jews and 2 Black Dudes Review the Movies.”

Over past three years Eric and Jeff have been reporting, researching and recording  their most special and epic project yet, “The Blog Era,” a fascinating look into how the music superstars of today were put on by a small group of kids behind keyboards. This 10-part docu-style audio series – which traces the rollercoaster ride of 2007-2012, when hip-hop met the internet – features stories from 150 influential voices, including Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, Joe Budden, Bun B, The Cool Kids, and many, many more!
